Our Spanish brethren ain’t too fond of soap and water either or is just that forign companies won’t pay for parking in UK services and thus they never see running water.
No excuse coming from Calais though and loads of them are double manned!
My biggest fear is the train would break down for more than 5 minutes while stuck in that pigpen.
Unless time is critical give me a Dover any day…a shower, grub and a chin wag or whatever and I’m good for another 4.5

Used to take my wife with me when she was off work and at 5ft nothing she was at armpit level of most of the stinky bar-stewards, i used to have to shepherd her into the corner near the tiny window for the duration…
