all they need to do is work somewhere else,they have the whole of western eure to choose from if they want a better job.The video was made by a Dutch Union mostly complaining that this is not only exploiting workers, but puts better paid Western European drivers out of work.
And sure the East European drivers could go to the Country and work for a haulier on that Countries wages, (although in the video it showed that DE Rooy and Ewals although based in the Netherlands gave most of their drivers East European contract of work),
But as some of the drivers were Moldavian and Ukrainian, this means even if those East European drivers find better paid operators, other companies can still have a seemingly limitless supply of cheap drivers to draw on and those companies can continue to undercut the companies that pay proper wages for their country.

im agreeing with you that its a bit underhand in practice,but the companies are playing the game with the cards their dealt with and the loophole is there to be utilised fully whhich is what their doing.
that type of company is just stobart and the likes of agencys where you are just a meaningless lemming to do your shift,and only ever as good as your last shift,plus they are not going to pay you a penny more than they have to which is what de rooy and similar are doing.
its up to the rha ( at this point you may laugh) or ee equivelants to pressure the ee powers that be to close the loophole.
as far as the drivers are concerned,then they are just doing the same job for the same pay as they would get tramping from home and its their own stupid fault for not working for a european company direct for decent wages as they must be able to be n the doorstep for plenty during their working days.
over the years ive worked in saudi and a couple of foriegn mobs but only because of the increase in wages,these bods,are doing it the wrong way round,which is why they have to sit eating camion cabbage and bread when their parked up.
its a shame,but nobody is holding a gun to their head.
