Road closures around Cambridgeshire

They could have made the post shorter and just said “stay at home, you can’t get anywhere useful”. :slight_smile:

Seems the A14 is pretty much closed anywhere useful and sometimes they close the A428 too so can’t us that diversion. Last night it looked like the only way round was to go via Peterborough at one point, except that’s got various closures. Any chance they could either close the A1 or A14 at any one time.

Slightly off topic, I noticed today that the bridge on the A19 at Chapel Haddersley, north of the M62 is to be closed 1st Oct till 21st Dec

More often than not it’s both. The entire area is a nightmare and best avoided on a night.

That would mean a multi-agency taskforce all talking as a unified body and all cooperating, highways talking to council, then talking to all the different contractors. Never happen.

One night they closed A1 at buckden, then closed A14 from godmanchester to spittals. A1 closure was highways England, A14 was council took them 4 hours to realise the ■■■■ up.
