Really?

So, what do we think Trucknet? Sunday/bank holiday rate, or genuine weekday hourly rate?

So it’s £25 on ltd… knock off 10pc you’re on £22.50ish once you take some holiday like normal ppl… that’s probably just your Christmas Day rate lol. I’ve never heard of ADR work paying so much. Not up north for sure.

It’s an agency ad so it’s all lies.

Due to working in such a demanding environment…

I’ve seen Middlesborough women, so I’d want every penny of that £25.

With the wording as it is I reckon they´ve just forgotten to add the “Up to” part.

Agency trying to sound like a fuel company. From their own web site:

“…suppliers to major 3rd party Hauliers, who are contracted to Worldwide Blue Chip Petroleum Companies”

“Operatives, after an initial Training period, can expect to be paid some of the highest rates available in the Industry.”

…ah so £25 hour is after the training period then despite them wanting highly experienced people with all the qualifications in place.

Being based at the North East Logistics Academy one assumes all training is inhouse and no doubt the op has to pay for it via stupid training period rates.

They arent joking about being new. Company was only setup in June. Also bit concerning the directors previous company is now disolved after only 4 years - didnt pay to find out more but it had an equally pretentious name (not fuel related).

Suspect tanker drivers with the passport snd 5+ years really arent as likely to be taken in by all these promises unless they filled 50,000 litres of diesel into a petrol tank.

Btw, do fuel companies even use agencies? Would have thought it was one sector which was very much full time on the books.

I’ve not seen many fuel tankers doing nights out

A few of our lads used to at one time mate many moons ago, although that was because they were Billingham based and were pimped out to places such as Kingsbury or Buncefield for months at a time.

William c hokin fuel tankers seem to do quite a few ,there was always 1 or 2 at the coach station at Plymouth when I’ve parked there

There’s a new crowd of tankers in the NE, I heard they came from some of the Suttons lads and financially backed by Hargreaves. Not sure if it could be them but …

It’s not. The ones you are thinking of are Halcyon Tankers based in Port Clarence, owned by my ex boss and by all accounts a cracking little company to work for.

Out based drivers :bulb:

Not sure why it’s so outlandish… I got £20/hour for my last shift. And that’s for two shifts a week. And they can’t get enough drivers to do it. No ADR. No 5 years experience. No specialist skills. Simply an artic driver - and someone willing to work at night and pull a few cages. Is only for 2 nights out of 5 though - and is the Ltd rate.

I think it’s good money for relatively easy work.

Really? You can’t see were being paid £500 for working 30 hours is a good thing?

You are the problem. And you are the reason why I don’t bother with other drivers anymore…

And you’re lucky that Ricky won’t let me post that photograph of you anymore.

Nights, Sunday  , Ltd rate… Anyway, the ad says operatives can expect £25 per hour. Im not a native English speaker but isnt there a difference between expecting and getting something? :grimacing:

They might just be trying to use some fancy English, like “The remuneration package you can expect will include hi viz jacket”, but just not quite getting it right.
