You’re kidding me…

Right? Every cardboard number plate I have seen on the trailer or been asked to run with has gone straight in the bin.

I also carry spare pants, toothpaste and a toothbrush. No-one wants to run home after an ‘unplanned’ night out in yesterday’s pants.
I have an Am-Tech 49pc bit set that has a mini-driver in it, that’s been useful on many an occaision.

Small basic 1st aid kit. Plasters paracetamol anti septic cream. Etc

Driving licence,driver’s card,dqc, ROAD-ATLAS with bridge heights,

spare tacho rolls or cards. Phone charger plug,

Sandwiches, flask,travel mug, a pen…

But I leave everything in my truck lots easier.

To be honest, never done it I was just trying to think of an example of why to carry a marker. I have always found it handy for labelling trailers VOR or whatever.

Drivers bag - i used to have a large box with folding lids, fridge and a bag and wasnt even a tramper. But then it helps if the truck is do old no one else wants to drive it.

Now bag currently contains:

■■■■ bottle x 2 (you will need it)
Food bag
Drinks inc asda energy drinks (cheap)
Rubbish bag

Sat nav (wont mention type)
Dashcam

Pens blue and black (not red as it doesnt copy)
Huggies pure baby wipes*
Roll of white bin bags (more compact)*
Tissues (small pack)
Fibre cloths for windows etc
Windscreen / glass cleaner (cheapo)
Screwdrivers x 2
Pills for headaches, ■■■■■■ antacids
Sudocreme!
Anti histomene cream for nettle stings
Multiblock for cig lighter 4 way
Hella socket to cig converter
Power block when cig lighter fails

Prob a load of other stuff that got lost in the bottom.

  • Items are essential but you really dont wanna know why. One say you will likely find out.

I was told that it is better to run with no number plate (then plead that someone must have nicked it for a prank) rather than stick a bit of cardboard in which means you were aware that the trailer didn’t have a legal plate… just a thought…

Agree with wire ties & gorilla tape as essentials.

With some of these posts on contents it’s more like a bloody suitcase needed not a drivers bag!

I’ve got a fishing carp bag I use as it’s got loads of pockets and still feels overfilled by time you get all the stuff in it!

If a pair of pants cant last for longer than one day I suggest you see a doctor asap as it’s obvious you have a problem …

Gaffer tape
Cable ties
Lube
Bin liners
Hack saw
Fire lighters
Deodorant

Always have a small foldable tarpaulin as well. 2x2m
