I’m going to do a bit of driving for a Company who use logbooks. I’ve never used one before… Just wondering what the craic is with them? I’m sure they’ll go through then tomorrow with me but a heads up would be good. Cheers
As far as I know, the most essential thing about log books is to make sure that you don’t hand your wages log book over to the men with clipboards. ![]()
It’s effectively the same format as making manual entries on the back of an old school tacho chart if you’ve done that before.
Make sure they give you at least 2 log books
Instructions on how to use them are best found on the Old Timers forum
1st off I wouldn’t get too inventive with your log book as don’t forget the tacho head is making a record too!
When I run on domestic I use my Digi card and set it to out of scope, I just think it’s a whole lot easier than a logbook
