Waiting Rooms

Well at Tesco Dagenham, in on a bay and walk in hand over the keys no problem there.
Sneak photo but it was far worse
The drivers waiting area :open_mouth:

Well it’s no wonder we’re treated like animals,
3 bins in the room and cups and wrappers just left.
The only people to blame are drivers.
So here it is,

Wanna be treated like a human being

PUT YOUR CRAP IN THE BIN

That goes for everywhere.

Love the lorry floor matting, makes you feel right at home, every little helps

The man is right, why do drivers behave like animals then complain about facilities ?
This week I stopped at a brand new Pilot truck stop in Newark NJ, it was immaculate, I was greeted by staff and actually escorted to the spotless new showers, I thought ‘How long before the ignorant pigs destroy the place and trash it ?’

Of course, we could all start a mass petition to stay in our cabs, but no, that’s wishful thinking.

■■■■ that ■■■■.

Not saying it’s right but perhaps if said company took care of the box you have to sit in you’d not treat it like a ■■■■ hole

My mind tells me it’s probably foreigners but I’m probably wrong and being rather racist about it…

Anyway enjoy your germ infested spit ridden sespit. … I’ll just sit in my cab should I have to wait to be tipped

The reason I do building site work with a moffett. Iv lost weight this last few months and no waiting around for hours on end in a ■■■■■■ room!

Maybe it’s a chicken and egg situation? Which came first? The lack of respect for the facilities or the lack of respect for drivers?

It’s not that long ago that RDC was built is it? Look at the state of the seats !! :open_mouth:

And drivers have brought that upon them selves by giving in odd keys etc.

A driver in Co-op Avonmouth was waiting on red bang on to green so he’s pulled off yeah he had a spare key a manager was walking past the bays when he did that and followed him into the office.
Drivers now banned from site, this is one of the last sites were still allowed to wait in cabs , not for long now I bet .

If their shoddy staff didn’t keep drivers sat around on them for so long they wouldnt wear through.

I’ve got Tesco Middlesbrough on Monday and I’ve already part constructed my hanging noose after being kept there for four hours last week. Apparently counting two types of cup makes it really difficult :unamused:

Looks just like Tesco Livingston (where I am as I post this). Same floor, same seats, same mess, same dismay

treat folk like animals they become animals

There is evidence that most people will treat an area as they find it, so if it’s clean and not vandlised most people will keep it that way, once the litter starts to build up and things get damaged, they’ll start treating it the same way.

However there is a small minority that seems not to care about leaving litter and seem to take pleasure in wilfully damaging facilities provided for their use and having been a truck driver for a few years now I’ve seen plenty of good facilities vandlised, long before we had loads of foreign drivers in the UK, and this weekend I’m parked up on a French service station, only seen one other UK registered truck, but the toilets and showers are clean and fully working, despite the fact the many drivers are cooking outside their cabs there is almost no litter and I’ve seen quite a few of my neighbours wander off to deposit thier bags of rubbish in the nearest bin, which unlike the UK is the size of a van and therefore is fit for purpose and won’t be overflowing with rubbish.
From this anecdotal evidence I’d say there are plenty of British drivers who are too lazy to put their rubbish in a bin and seem to gain a perverse pleasure from vandalising the very facilities provided for them. :frowning: and I’m pleased I don’t have to do RDC work these days.

Because most drivers no so big intilegent for life and come not from very high social level. And drivers not very responsible because he now here, after one hours here there ,tomoroow he somewhere. When people work in one place that he carry about everything.

Totally with you Muckles, BTW what part of this lovely country are you in at the mo?

Tesco waiting rooms (other RDC’s available too) , drivers go to the coffee machine and get a cup of whatever. They sit there festering, reading papers, playing on their phones, boring others to death with their inane chit-chat, some may doze off. They may get up and get another drink, but why do they leave the cups on the windowsills, tables, floor etc. when they are empty?, why can’t they put the cups in the bins provided?, instead of leaving them laying around. Nothing to do with how they are being treated, it’s they can’t be arsed !! We are our own worst enemy!

Would disagree with all that.

I’ve met drivers who could barely tie their shoelaces or string a sentence together and others who’d leave you amazed on how clever and well educated they were (often self taught)
Social status has nothing to do with manners and respect for other property, plenty of people had nothing as children, except parents that taught them properly, plenty of arrogant and rich people who treat other people and their property like ■■■■.
And plenty of facilities get abused by a companies own workforce, even though they’ll use it all the time.

Heading into the Alps for a PR event in Italy next week.

I don’t understand why it’s so difficult to put stuff in a bin, or clear away your own mess.

As I said " can’t be arsed attitude" They would soon complain if all the coffee and tuck vending machines were removed.
“Where’s the coffee machine?”
“We’ve removed them”
“Why’s that then I want a drink?”
" Because we are sick and tired of cleaning up after you drivers!!!"

I reckon instead of automating trucks they should have robot cleaners based on Daleks, don’t put you rubbish in the bin and they exterminate you. That would focus the mind on keeping the room tidy, provided the waiting rooms are on the ground floor

Look at the state of the chairs. The chairs in goods out are exact same age and still in one piece not even 5 yr old yet.
You live like scum bags.
