'Almost 200 people on one of the world’s largest cruise ships are sick with what public health officials say appears to be a foodborne illness from the boat’s bottomless buffet.

Ive never done a cruise but never fancied the idea. Comes across as a seafaring Butlins holiday camp, the same as crappy all inclusive (communal) hotel holidays where they serve up the sh[zb]iest quality food and drink. Eat in the same restaurant morning day and night with the same loud people going through food everyone else has coughed/sneezed over/fondled ( :open_mouth: ). lso, swim in the same ■■■■/[zb] infested pool, hearing everyone next door/above/below you shagging/■■■■■■■ ect…nah…
Anyway, i reckon half these infections on cruise ships will come from the boats ‘fresh’ water tanks…

For the past 6 years or so been doing 2 a year (might have to drop to 1 a year as no longer agency, but still have 2 booked for this year), very pleasant holidays, even the 1 when the Mrs picked up the Novovirus, I was fine and was allowed to roam the boat passing on her germs!

Food is generally good, sometimes excellent, occasionally below standard, but you don’t have to eat it, just order something else.

Most cruise liners have multiple restaurants, you do not need to eat in the same one every day if you don’t want to, or the same table with people that you don’t like/ don’t like you, but if you like the service you’re getting along with the company you probably will.

Only one buffet restaurant on most ships, they’re not Harvesters (disgusting places!) which you never have to enter as there are other options.

Not heard anyone shagging next door and assume they haven’t heard the missus either, not sure about our next door neighbours at home though
