Is it the Strap Safe system?Seen DS Smith using them, certainly useful for strapping tall paper reels.
Doubt you would ever see that specced by many general hauliers though where the trailers are getting hammered all the time & dropped on different sites, could see it getting knackered quite quickly. Plus, the whole system falls apart the moment someone loses the pole.
We have fashioned some hooks for retrieving the strap if you forget to loosen off the straps first. Taken me a week to get into a good routine with it but I have to say I am well impressed. For our use it is perfect solution.
