We use palms over here in the colonies, the service line, which is blue here, has a little tab on it that won’t allow them to be switched and even if it does happen, worn tab etc, you won’t be going anywhere as the red supply line will just be applying the brakes if connected to the service line. They’re a PITA though, getting them to seal without an air leak can be a nightmare and if you don’t have a grip extension on them they are very easy to split the airline as you have to hold it to couple the palms together.
I’m not a fan of the self sealing C couplings though, taps were much easier and it wasn’t difficult to remember to turn them on or off, it was all part of the process of hooking up, which used to be a simple exercise before the HiViz gang started poking their nose in to stuff they know SFA about.
