I pick up from their yard in Falkirk.
Mixture of attics and wagon and drags.F
Falkirk yard seems fairly busy they’re advertised for drivers 3 times in last 2 years.
I collect from their Ramsbottom yard, and they all seem a happy enough bunch.
Health and safety mad though.

Can’t tell you much about Sittingbourne, as I did a lot of agency wok for them out of Halifax, but I do know things have changed since I was last in there about 5 years ago.
Health and Safety is king, but the drivers have all the equipment they need to do the job. 63 plate motors have 12 months left on them before they are replaced at 5 years. All vehicles tracked. Money was good at the time, but I believe others have caught up and are not far behind. Not sure if Sittingbourne do nights out, but they do at the other depots. Uniform, pension etc etc.

Why are they advertising for drivers
No idea, most depots are struggling to find decent drivers, it’s one of them jobs, you either love it or hate it!

Sat waiting to tip at builders merchants for ever and a day. Then you get to stand operating the crane whilst freezing cold and with water dripping down your neck off your hard hat. No thanks.

I’ve done a fair bit of builders merchant work and it’s not for everybody although I never minded sitting around for an hour or two waiting to tip. There’s more than enough internet ■■■■ to make the time fly by.
