Pets At Home Stoke

Got a delivery there tomorrow, booked in for 11am, but it is point of sale stuff, not dog or cat food.

How flexible are they on times, as I am planning on getting there around 9am, (It’s Saturday after all.) and how quick do they tip?

Ken.

You’ll probably get in early as the gatehouse staff are sound but if there is a queue for the bays, and they only usually use about 4 of them, then you’ll be in for a wait, it’s hit and miss in there and you could be in and out or you could be there a while.
Being point of sale stuff and not normal stock they may unload you on a different bay so I’d make it known when you book in at the goods-in desk.

Cheers for that.

Hoping it’s in and out, then I can get home quickly.

Ken.

Cheap subsidized staff canteen but not sure if open the weekend or not.
Full fry up for two or three quid or other meals the same.
Drivers allowed in canteen.
Say hello to Pascuale the French man in goods in and the lovely Lisa if they are working tomorrow.
You sit in the cabin and the speaker will call you when tipped.
But the tannoy is not that clear to hear.
They don’t mind if you arrive late or early.
I give them my cab phone number then they call you to go on a free bay.
The staff there are ace and friendly.

You want to be in and out before the football traffic starts…Stoke are at home tomorrow and stadium is on same estate as your going

Pets at home sell snake stuff.

In fact…Google " Arab scared of snake "…

(Can somebody ’ post ’ it on here for me please, it’s one of my faves).

Swank

Im from stoke and like others have said the warehouse is on the same estate of the stadium, if you do get caught up and tipped late, turn LEFT out the depot (right takes you towards the stadium) and follow this road down to the a34, right turn and this brings you back onto the a500, if you do go towards the stadium as this is the way your satnav will usually take you, good luck. The police usually hold the traffic this way so be aware.

Football traffic won’t be bad and the roads won’t be closed until the match finishes at 16:45, with a bit of luck you’ll be gone by then

Well what a pleasant surprise.

Got there at 9am, to be met by a rather nice guy on security who told me where to park and who to report to. Went in, and met the infamous Pascal, and when I told him of his noteriety on here, his face lit up. He explained how the system worked, took my phone number, and rang me when the bay was ready. He then asked me if I had eaten, and when I told him I had already, he still insisted on escorting me to their canteen, which was open. Bugger. A cup of coffee later, and I went to the well documented drivers room, but was only there around 15 mins.

Trailer emptied, paperwork back off Pascal, and I was on my way by 10.30, and that included their 30 minute break!!! A friendly wave off security, and I was off site.

It’s a shame that all rdc’s weren’t like that. It was nice to be treated with respect for a change.

Ken.

I tipped there last Thursday and it was Christmas dinner.
The mean ■■■■■■■ wouldn’t let me have any.
Had sit in the corner eating a cheese bun.
I bet they threw loads away.

Good as gold, told you, Pascale used to throw the truck keys at you but not any more as modern keys are a tad sensitive with remote locking .
So you never saw Lisa with the blonde hair ?
