Daily Fail At It Again!

dailymail.co.uk/news/article … ndoff.html

Talk about sensationalising something… :unamused: :unamused: :unamused:

Her daughter told her the road was clear. To be fair she was probably looking at another road entirely

Another valid reason why the publics attitudes towards truckers stinks … that driver is an ignorant knobhead !!

“Ann Orchard was driving back from a doctor’s appointment in Yalding, Kent, when a gigantic lorry refused to let her pass”

Gigantic!!! It’s a class 2 puddle jumper…one up from a mini metro

Rod cast…

Do you mean bait cos if you cast you rod you’ve lost it …

Just hope she doesn’t hear you and say “look me in the eye and say that” it could get weird in the moments leading up to you making such a difficult choice…

Ok are we done picking on the depth perceptively challenged? Can we please return to member bashing, I’m starting to feel like were drifting uncomfortably outside of TNUK’s remit

That is the most shocking thing I have ever seen ever.

Nice to see the Daily Mail hierarchy in action.

It goes something like this:

Old Soldiers
The Elderly
The Forces
The Middle Class
Good honest British Workers
Hard Working Polish Workers
Truck Drivers
Those claiming Benefits (Except the Elderly)
Unions and Socialists
Illegal Immigrants

So had it been a benefit claiming socialist on the scooter, the headline would be.

Careful truck driver narrowly avoids running over scooter rider on the way to spend benefits on Jeremy Corbyn’s Biography.

How do you get a lay by in the midlle of a narrow bridge?

Tbf the tanker driver could have dealt with the situation a bit better.
Don’t know about you lot, but if it had been me, at least I would have got out and watched/helped her reverse back, a bloody great truck Class 3 or otherwise can be intimidating to an old woman of her age I would imagine.
I’ve got out of my motor before now to help old infirm women cross the road.

My car has adaptive headlights too.

Bloody mobility scooters, if they’re not getting in the way on the pavement they’re on the road holding up traffic. :imp:

most of the mail comments ar basicaly"silly old fool". i wouldnt thiink any driver would go out of his road to terrorise the old wifey and her pontoon eyed daughter . you might think he would know the cobbles were ok for her to park on for 30 secs till he got past, hence the back off granny attitude.
and possibly the glaiket daughter may have been put to better use by helping instead of filming.
poor old spuds all the same, but some of them bring it upon themselfs with the “im disabled so i must have as much self importance as your average fanny on a pushbike attitude”

using descriptions like " brave, gobsmacked, dramatic, frail, hair raising, horrified, " i was expecting to see something a bit more interesting along the lines of the twin towers instead of this, though i do like the up your own jacksi description of a hiviz being a luminous tabard…
the daughters coupon is constantly creeping me out though with 1 eye ooking at you and the other one watching for the bus coming…she looks like the ones you see when your watching female serial killers on youtube.

You are thinking exactly like the daily mail want you to think.

The only facts you know about this whole situation is what you read on the daily mail website.

Are you sure that you have the truth, the whole truth & nothing but the truth?

There is a little passing place for cars . The bridge spans two rivers and is about 200m long he is about 20m from clearing the bridge well past the passing point with a que of cars behind him

I suppose it depends if there was traffic behind him and nothing behind her and where each of them are on the bridge. If you check on street view she looks to be 30yrds from the beginning compared to the lorry going back 200yrds or more.

Or she could have moved on to the cobbles for a few seconds.

There is you can see it in the pic , there always is you always have to wait at either end for traffic to clear always a que either end

Even the local rag didn’t bother with this story. local knowledge about that bridge will have told you the woman was being a ■■■■

I swear I’d have got out and pushed her onto the cobbles myself, and probably ‘accidentally’ tipped her over depending on her attitude… “oops, what’ve you done there luv?”.
