45 yr old medical

passed mine yesterday what a load of old tosh.

said no to every question
look left ad right
touch his finger then my nose.
good him which hands he was moving
read some letters on a board.
blood pressure and chest listened to.
all in some blokes garage 5 minutes down the road.

AND! Your point, we’ve all paid £50, to get some fresh faced junior doctor, to do the medical, beats £180 at my own doctor.
Think i used hgvmedical.co.uk.

You get what you pay for,buy cheap more often than not you get inferior goods,no different to your medical.
Myself I prefer a thorough medical by my own Doctor, where everything goes down on my medical records, not by some fly by night who will more than likely have disappeared without trace by next week.

Your correct, but most people want a form filling in, not a thorough medical.

Hence the two options. And the big market for cheap d4’s.

The big concerns made the market by deciding to charge so much for your doctor to do it, even though there the best person for the job.

My annual was due today, got me dates mixed up, and missed it, oh well £58 down the swanee, and another £35 to rebook it for the next one on the 12th december…my own doctors charge £110, i went to HGV medicals, as my doctors couldnt give me an appointment, as they were full for the next month…shameful isnt it…still a few quid in pocket though, and will teach me to be more vigilant…i am also due a treadmill test which dvla arrange with my local hospital, so its gonna be a long renewal this time, but it will be my last…i think.

I took mine, and being a natural born pessimist, I was worried about my eyesight, with it not being as hawk-like as in my younger days.

I’d had a few words with opticians in recent years, as one one test told me I needed specs, and when I went back I was told my distance vision was brilliant, but deffo needed readers. Spent a fair few quid I didn’t need to.

The proper doctor I went to (about £120 cheaper than mine, but a proper doc in a medical centre) said he could do the eyesight part, but if he was in any doubt, he’d send me to an optician, let me do my bit, and I couldn’t believe what the actual medical standard is, Mr Magoo would breeze it.
