Been sat for over 4 hrs waiting to get loaded had it on break , started at 4am this morning , can I work till 8 pm and reduce my rest to 8 hrs tonight , answers on a post card plz , cheers
Not that I’m aware of. If you’re splitting it can only be three hours then nine hours.
Nope, finish at 7 and start at 4 mate 3 hours rest + 9 unfortunately
You must finish within 15 hours of starting your shift. The only advantage that I can think of for splitting your rest is: you can do a 15 without it counting as a reduced rest.
And (if you really wanted to) you could do this every day of the working week 
As said above you need to be wrapped up 19.00 hrs but it won’t count as a reducer.
Thanks for the replies , been along time since I’ve done a split shift , bonus that I’ve got a 15 left to tip lancing and get back to lancs 
mite even get a bit of leg over to boot if I get home
