Well whoda thunk that a basic dual carriageway couldn’t possibly cope with the volumes of imports that Felixstowe handles, amazing that, just like the A14 at the M6 end, which was a shambles at the M6 jct especially, it should have been constructed as a full three lane road with layby’s every half mile and emergency refuges every mile for its entire length 20 bloody years ago with multiple lanes around Cambridge where it appears no bugger knows how to drive…just like Oxford then 
Those in charge knew they were going to flood the country with millions of people, they also knew the main import and distribution/warehouse eyesores they were going to site on our once lovely countryside, a blind dog could have planned the country’s infrastructure better.
Juddian made a good point about future planning.
A five year old kid would know to build bigger roads to cope with the population increases .
All over the UK , you see new warehouses and RDC being built, some are the size of an airport, massive structures that will need 1000 new staff .
If you work on Sundays, the roads are packed like a week day.Hobby drivers on a 50 mile round trip to save 13% on a pot plant.
Have you noticed the queues at food outlets and coffee shops on the motorway are getting longer.
They will join the longest queue for the unhealthy food when the healthy food one is empty .
Why fanny about with a twin track upgrade which won’t cope with increased traffic .
Just build a four lane motorway from all the major UK ports .
The UK planning is so backwards and can’t see the future.
Massive RDCs means more trucks .
Nimbies that don’t like trucks, tough, they are here to stay.
Why buy a house by a noisy road then moan about traffic noise and set up action groups to stop the thundering menacing juggernauts, mounting the pavements to pass double parked cars .?
