West of Scotland heavy Haulage ltd

I understand from BBC News Scotland that this old established firm has ceased trading with immediate effect.

Sadly they’ve gone into administration story here

Back tomorrow under a new name

Pretty standard way it happens these days.

Still dont understand how some people get away with it though.

Had a read of that earlier but seen them last night pulling out of terex motherwell with two huge dump trucks.

Never a great sign when this happens. Certainly an iconic and well respected company from as long as I can remember, hope this isn’t the start of a downward spiral.

Thought they had a pretty well a niche market so please dont tell me Stobrats have bought some heavy haulage type specialised equipment if so Dozy and UKT will have soon put paid to that …

Being investigated for fraud afaik. Pretty well known about.

These days, the Traffic Commissioners Office has a direct link to Companies House, which enables them to see if a company has had a ‘change of entity’.

Obviously operating while insolvent and failing to meet the financial standing requirements mean the end of the O Licence.

Two West of Scotland trucks were out in force today, one with the name removed but the other was still fully liveried up and both were carrying some hefty looking pieces of equipment.

They haven’t stopped. This was all just a name change to shake some debt no doubt. I’ve seen them in and out of Cairnryan in recent weeks loaded and with full ■■■■■■.

But what disc was in the window?

Could be plenty of reasons why liveried trucks are still driving around, although if theyv tried to pull a fast one they havent done a very good job.

Liquidators could well be running the firm to try and get the creditors whats owed.

Especially if the order books were full. As all assetts would be in the hands of the liquidators.

One of there dafs is for sale at mm acquisitions ,seen one of there mercs today going down the m5 pulling a low loader but no name on the cab
