I was wondering if anybody knows if Asda at South Elmsall take on permanent after been temp. I have been given a start from October to January or is just for Xmas. I would appreciate any info.

They’ll keep you on, I guarantee it. Supermarkets don’t have much of a quiet time, just sometimes it’s busier than normal.
I did 18 months on temporary contracts before being set on.
And while you’re on temporary you get treated just the same as everyone else.

Cheers for that, it’s just I’ve been offered full time with a general haulage firm starting November but preferred Asda and come January didn’t want to be kicking my self.
All new starters at Asda these days start on a temporary contract and it’ll be extended a couple of times before you get a full time gig.
In practice you’ll be treated exactly the same as everyone else. Stick to the rules and do as you’re asked and you’ll be fine. You on 9 or 11.25?`
