I've done bigger!

I seem to recall a diversion (due to a rockfall damaging the road) in Scotland that was over 100 miles long.

How is this even news? Even by Daily Fail standards it’s scraping the bottom of the barrel.
In most cases, especially someone like Somerset, there will be minor local routes that those in the know can use, but the signed diversion route has to be via roads that are suitable for all vehicle.

When the Rest and be Thankful is closed due to landslides, I’m sure the diversion for that over 70 miles and that takes in some crap roads. I’ve done it a couple of times in a car and that was enough.

The Daily Fail must be having a quiet news day to run with that story.
