With regards to the “Police don’t have the resources to spend time looking at all the footage provided by the public”… The problem with much of this footage is that is is all rather tame compared to the kind of stuff one gets via the Russian Dashcam stuff readily available on Youtube. “OOh he cut me up at the lights - I’ll send this footage to the police!” kind of knee-jerk material is going to have your average police reviewer sighing with boredom, and reaching for their tea - rather than moving to the edge of their seat, and reaching for their truncheon, or indeed reaching for the collars of the public any time soon!
