As my seemingly inevitable return to driving inches closer day after day, I’ve started thinking about notice periods.Specifically my current office based role has a 4 week notice period…most driving vacancies I’m seeing at the minute seem to want “immediate starts”…Hmmmmmmm…
As it’s office based, they will probably expect you to work the notice period. Gives them time to advertise, recruit someone else for the role you have, or get someone working with you until you leave and they can fill it. In our place people have been put on gardening leave when they handed in thier notice, however they don’t get their P45 until the notice period has ended.
