Tesco Avonmouth

Does anyone know what the current pay rate is for new starters at Tesco Avonmouth?
Website (like most) says competitive.

Thanks.

Competitive means…

Average in transport language.

Minimum wage then .

You might find those who have been there a while are on better terms and conditions than new entrants. That’s something I don’t agree with and certainly wouldn’t work there if that was the case, as I suspect it might be. Doing the same job ,possibly with poorer hours for less than a direct colleague? No way.

£10 per hour basic £12.50 after 21:00 it’s any 5 from 7 which doesn’t seem good

It’s pretty poor all round.

It’s more than that

New starters are on £10.36 an hour, an extra 25% between 22:00-06:00 or for weekends, a further 25% is paid for anything over 42.5 hrs.

The highest increment being 50% or time and a half, you are paid every 4th Friday a £200 per 4 weekly performance bonus is paid up front, then deducted for tachograph infringements poor fleetboard attendance and lead out times, in £25 or £50 increments, you get 28 days holiday which for every day taken you loose £10 of you’re bonus you can also bank overtime to use as extra holidays if you wish.

Depending on you’re start times, the average earnings with a bit of O/T are around £36,000 +.

They’re are currently a number of vacancies for drivers at Avonmouth.

Are avonmouth only paid 25% for over 42.5 hours?

That £200 a month is done different to us as well, it’s not paid up front with us.

Thanks mike68, are the hours there to be worked?

Depending on you’re start time, you get stopped 45 minutes per day for breaks 15 hours of paid overtime per week and above is achievable, Re the bonus I have worded it incorrectly you get it every month based on you’re previous 4 weeks performance, the majority of the drivers on this contract seem to get most if not all of they’re bonus every 4 weeks.
