The exhaust is actually cut open, a sealed box section welded in place so no fumes can contaminate your food, works just like an oven…
did similar in early 60s, meat wrapped in foil on the engine block, well cooked by teatime.
I do hope it was genuine road kill though, otherwise it’s cheating…

I know , I know Andrew - but you just know somebody would be silly enough to try it in a euro 6 exhaust.
Did it in the seventies and eighties with tins of food, put in the exhaust of my Volvo F10.
Running the engine on 1000-1200 revs for 15 minutes and your meal was hot.
Carefully open the tin and Bob was your uncle
Nearly fell off the tank when he was unwrapping it. That would have been funny [emoji23]
