can hit bridges
Looks like it gonna be an unpleasant one,a few with “serious facial injuries” which doesn’t sound good at all.
The area is I bit of a nightmare, as I used to deliver to several Asian cash & carrys at the other side of the bridge (tweedale St) close to the railway station. Anyone unfamiliar with the area following a satnav can get directed via that bridge
On local news, they say the driver was a young female who’d only been in job a month. I hope they re-train her rather than sack her.

How do you retrain someone to not hit a bridge?
Unfortunately she will have more than her employers disciplinary procedure to worry about seeing as though there have been multiple injuries and some which could be life changing.
The only wheeled vehicle a female should be let loose with is a pram, but only then after extensive training !
Just watched a vid on FB where the ‘One week into the job’ female driver was picking up the coins off the cab floor rather than help the passengers get off safely
Agency bus driver.
I remember when I was at college, there was a road which went under a lecture theatre with low clearance, and the bus drivers all knew (or were supposed to) which way to get out. This guy took a wrong turn and ripped the roof off his Leyland Bristol. No great loss (a few months later they were all replaced by hand-me-down Leyland Olympians from London Country) and nobody was on board at the time.

It’s a sad state of affairs that society has become so bad that the first thing someone dies upon arriving at the scene of a accident is whip there phone out and film it for 4 minutes.
Only one bus hit a bridge but I think when at work earlier there had been 5 trucks hitting rail bridges today.

How many bus journeys were there today compared to truck journeys?
At least she put her yellow vest on
Shocking that! how did she not know■■?
I do feel for her, as she doesn’t have the benefit of a higher driving position like us.
She probably also trained in a single decker, and just forgot about the upper deck…
I hope she and everyone injured make full recoveries.
No serious injuries according to the report
Zb happens…
I bet his/her boss hit the roof when they heard about this incident.

Reading the report, it would appear that the bus had been re-routed
This is another case of not reading signs though isn’t it, I know she’s new but does that make a difference. The first thing I do when I see a bridge is check for signs and my vehicle height if no signs are present I proceed as it has to be over 5m. Don’t just follow your sat nav people look further down the road then your bloody windscreen!
