Just another day behind the wheel

Priceless
That was a reasonably new caravan as well judging by the back light arrangement that was seen at the end of the film. It is also why I use a dash cam. Worth every penny.
By the way, I don’t have a problem with people who own and pull caravans as we have a trailer tent, just the way some people drive when they are towing them
Caravan or no caravan the driver of the car is a knob.
Please all be upstanding, put your hands together as we introduce the new top gear presenter !!!
Absolute nobjockey dragging the wobblebox, Honked, I salute you sir
I can’t understand whether he was just a complete prat or if he just forgot he had it on the back , which makes him a careless prat
What an insane bit of driving by the car driver. What did he say afterwards about it?
It’s 2 lanes going down to 1 and impossible to know just how long the caravan was next to the lorry. It’s possible he was right alongside the whole way which begs the question, why did neither of them give way to the other?
nice job there
I’ve shared bud. not a good thing to happen but then how could any knob think they were gonna get all that past you in time
What’s the deal with caravans insurance wise, will his car insurance cover the repairs? Or is there a speacil kind of insurance you take out for caravans?
I like to see a wheelie-shed smashed to bits as much as the next man… but I’m going to play devil’s advocate here.
You can see the point at which he realises the shed dragger is going for it because he starts holding it in gear longer and his clutch work becomes a bit more rapid. He’s desperate not to let that chemical toilet cubicle through.
He could’ve continued at his leisurely pace, but instead chose to gun it and force an accident. Bravo. Very professional.
According to the facebook comments, he’s jacking his job in because of it. A wise decision I’d say.

Are you for real
The car and caravan are in the move left segment of road still, either at the side of the trailer or rear. the cab of the truck has PASSED yes PASSED the traffic island before impact ,
Christ I do wonder about some peoples driving habits

That was my first thought yesterday when I saw it. Car driver was a nob but was the lorry driver really any better?
You cannot blame the lorry driver!!!
More likely the car driver hit the traffic lights at full speed and decided to go for the gap which in reality was never there as the arrows in the outside lane tell you to move in immediately after you have gone over the junction!!!
Plus he only appeared after the front of the truck had actually passed the pedestrian refuge by which time it was a single lane!!!

22 ton v 3 ton yeah no contest I wouldn’t say he was being held out and racing
Just for clarity I wasn’t the driver.
I would have closed the lane off sooner and prevented this idiot from even rolling the dice.

Towing a 26ft caravan with a Mondeo there’s not much chance of me getting as much speed up as that car had in that distance from a standing start and that’s with just two people in. That car had at least one adult in the back as well as a boot full.

I’d have done the same (or tried to).
That was avoidable
