Heard on the grapevine that Stobarts are after buying Lomas Distribution,anyone else heard anything
Considering Stobarts seemed to have been on a Financial roller coaster as of late, and the size of Lomas, I doubt it.
There into all sort so it could be powder tankers then Lol.
Can’t buy 'em if you can’t catch 'em!
If anything Dinky would probably buy them… cash!

:lol::lol::lol:
If I was a betting man id reckon Norbert dressingtable would be more interested in lomas than stobarts, who if you believe what you read is riddled with debt.

Will people please stop listening to the rdc crap. Think you will find that Richard could but Stobbies with the loose change on his pocket.
Why oh why would Stobbies want to get into the powder tank game to be held to ransom by the likes of Lafarge/Tarmac.
Norbet will run his at a loss for a week and put stobbart outa business if he ever puts a powder tank on the road. Fact

Don’t Tarmac own half of Lomas or is that all nonsense too■■?

Tarmac don’t exist any more. It became Lafarge Tarmac (or LafTar) for short, and slowly the Tarmac name is being dropped.
There’s rumours in the industry that a merger between LafTar and Bardon could be on the cards, but I can’t see it without the Competition Commission taking a long hard look.

Another myth. Lafarge/Tarmac is probably less than 40% of the work.

Nor can I, when Lafarge took them over the Competition Commission took a big action to make them sell a lot of stuff off, to merge the now 2 biggest players in the country would be a very dangerous move for the smaller players.
Anyway stobarts aint stobart knowmore
