I can tell youre really upset at the news. You are dying to get back together with them arent you? Your love affair with the agencies has left you bruised and broken-hearted hasnt it? They promise you the earth, but deep down you know theyre just stringing you along. Of course you want to believe them, be told youre the special one, be told there really is a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow? But you know the rainbow is only there because its hissing down with rain, don`t you?
To be fair I’m surprised a lot of this umbrella bollox is still going on, as there really isn’t much left in the way of benefits to offset their costs when you take the travel allowance away. Hence the reason for the post, as I wasn’t aware anything had changed since last April, and couldn’t understand why I’d seen a lot of this rubbish recently. It’s the agencies that are stating this bollox in the adverts, so you have to figure that they are also ■■■■■■■ with the umbrella schemes, along with not having to deal with your admin directly. Plus they can then advertise what initially seem good rates, and tell you later it’s some umbrella bollox and not PAYE.
I’m still getting emails from one I did some work for ages ago, when it all changed. And I was surprised when I got an email some months after the change, saying the rates were going up? 
Then I had one form them last week saying as I hadn’t worked for them for ages, they were terminating our arrangement and sent me a P45. I’m truly gutted I am!
