Trucker tries & fails to turn his rig around to avoid bridge

Type in travis hamic on facebook & take a look at the video on his wall. Gotta say i feel for the guy but it was a stupid move. Reckon he has a job still■■? The thing that makes it worse is he starts ripping bits of the truck off but carries on!!!

   he’d have caused less damage having a good run up at the bridge and going for it

What a mess. I can’t understand how someone can sit and film that, without getting out and trying to help the bloke.

In the comments, the fella says he did get out, but got ignored. But I’d bet on him not getting out to help.

The driver just needed to keep calm and all would have been fine, he panicked and near smashed unit n trailer up

That made me go all hot and cold, poor bugger, before the filming starts it looks like he has already pulled the bumper off, the only thing I can think of, he didn’t like reversing… tragic.

So why did he not just reverse and use the space on the left■■? :open_mouth: :open_mouth: :open_mouth:

That’s the stupidest driving I’ve ever seen. There looks like an entrance to something on the left with possibly enough space to swing it round there depending on how open it is. At least more space than where he tried. Then when he’s finished smashing his bosses truck and someone’s wall to pieces he parks in the middle of the road :open_mouth:

Probably a foreign, agency ex stobart driver :grimacing:

wasn’t a blue wall was it that no one could see

Thats got to be a spoof deliberately set up for the camera, no one could be that stupid.

If its real only good thing is that no one appeared to have been hurt and hopefully the twit responsible won’t be allowed anywhere near a lorry for the rest of his natural.

Not sure i’d have got out of me car to help, could easily end up with the same fate as his front bumper, and i’d have reversed several hundred yards back too in case he hit the panic switch a bit harder and decided to reverse down the road till the lorry stopped.

I wondered what happened to Boss&Driver.

Now we know!

That was hard to watch

Travis Hamic Yeah it was crazy! I wish I would have got the first part where he hit the railroad crossing above. Bad part is there was a turn around about 20 ft behind him I got out and tried to motion him back but he took a hard left!!

I’m guessing that the driver recruitment policy there is probably more orientated to keeping wage costs as low as possible than truck maintainance costs.Although it could be a new start owner driver who’s just found out that he’s chosen the wrong line of work. :smiling_imp:

Feel sorry for the poor sod at least us over here would take the bridge with us lol no he just needed a euro truck and a cup of coffee

He deserved to be sacked on the spot !

That’s what I’d have done.Maybe the panic he had on screwed him right up.

not the poor fella, but if he didnt like reversin he could of jacknifed as he did and uncoupled then got back under at a diferent angle but he should nt of been in that position anyway but hay ho,

WHY ?
