How comes, in the UK most cars are manual and most trucks are auto.
Yet, in the USA it seems most cars are auto and most trucks are manual.May be a stupid question so feel free to mock me but generally curious.
Because American drivers and operators rightly view auto or ( synchro manual ) trucks as unprofessional and an economic liability respectively.
Ironically you’ll also find more cars still offered there with a manual option than in Euroland and like American truck drivers those who don’t like/want autos ‘really really’ don’t like/want them.
Also like their manual truck transmissions their manual car transmissions being second to none. From the old Muncie to the modern Tremech and Borg Warner T5 etc.

Nothing new in those comments remember the whining Muncie rock crusher of the Chevy in Two Lane Blacktop.
