Hi guys, I’m looking for a bit of help for an old friend.

An old friend of mine has been asking me if I can find a novel about a transport company.
The plot concerns 3 youth who try and hi-Jack a lorry load of whisky but it goes wrong and they kill the driver in their escape.
Another company driver witnessed the event and passed on the car details to his company via two way radio.
The company give out the details to the other drivers, who then organise their own man hunt for the youths.
The book was set in the 1970’s and my friend lost it before he finished reading it and now would like to re read the book.
Sorry for the long post and if anyone could supply the novel or author’s name it would be very much appreciated.
