I watched Angela Rip-off this morning and her problems with an electric vehicle, not enough charging points, false distance estimates, different amps, volts and charges, incompatible cars, cables, computers, if you leave one county for another you need to set up a different direct debit, and my missus only ever leaves enough fuel to get to the petrol station, so I can see me camping there overnight [emoji23]

Spend a lot of time pondering over these subjects whenever I see Tesla’s etc. in traffic (how do screens in those cars not get counted as a distraction?), so I’m currently thinking of the following issues:
Not enough public charging points but what about private ones. I don’t have a driveway, nor room for a driveway, so how can I charge my car at home? Or maybe they think people who don’t have driveways shouldn’t have cars - making use of public transport instead. I would welcome any options they can suggest for public transport for 20 miles with my start times of 2-4am?
Roads that power the vehicle have also being mentioned - and being trialled at the moment in Sweden with ideas to expand it to more of the road network who of course will have much less demand on such a system compared to the UK. Considering our governments track record for doing the job properly with proper investment (i.e. smart motorways etc.) this seems a pipe dream.
On the subject of charging points - what is the deal with the ones in company car parks? Do the employees have to pay to draw electric from them?
Electric Trucks are also being talked about - considering the difficulty in some services of even getting a space to have you break at certain times, never mind parking up overnight for charging. What happens if you can only make it to a lay-by. Mind you, probably will be OK to exceed drivers hours if its to recharge - as usual - safety when it suits.
