The EU is responsible for all this “Divisiveness” - and has been from the very beginning.
“Divide and Conquer” - has worked since ancient times.
A state acts with impunity
A state lies about “who did what”.
A state suppresses anyone telling the truth about what is REALLY going on
The Battle for Hearts and Minds - starts with encouraging the gullible and the apathetic to “not bother voting”. It ENDS with the two extreme sides doing battle.
The worst part to me about the referendum result - was that a third of people didn’t vote at all. If it hadn’t had been for THAT - we wouldn’t be in this situation NOW.
Cameron - didn’t want to make it a “Compulsory Vote” - because when people are MADE to vote - they have a habit of voting AGAINST the incumbent, which would have been “Lots of extra protest votes for Leave”.
“Leadship” could have been shown at any point, by either May executing a No Deal Brexit the moment her deal got rejected for the FIRST time, OR she could just have been honest, and deliverewd a Cancelled Brexit on March 29th, and going to the country for judgement. She would have got a lot more respect from Tory Remainers in particular - for doing that.
Social Media has made it impossible for people to routinely lie, or even tell the truth - without unparalelled amounts of public scrutiny.
The State - doesn’t typically tell the truth.
Non-State people “telling the truth” - tend to get suppressed.
The State - DOES routinely LIE.
…And yet it is the lies of long ago that get brought to the attention of the public, rather than the clear, present, and more DANGEROUS lies - that are still going on, right before our eyes.
Who gives a ■■■■ about Blair by this point? Or if “Rees Mogg is considerably wicher whan yoo” or that the biggest producer of gweenhouth gathes on Earth happens to be the Chinese population, which cannot be changed without WWIII?
All old hat, and no longer worth worrying about.
“Dying Earlier” or “Losing ones Livlihood” or “Public Service Cuts” or “Higher Taxes” - are the things that DO affect us each and every day though.
THESE should ALWAYS be our main concerns, not this old tosh about “other people’s problems”.
Forget “Altruism” forget “Ideaology” and forget “New Age Religions” like Man-Made Climate Change.
Ultimately, they are all the creations of the very worst people among us - our political elites.
