PC Angus Nairn

It looks like Angus faced a gross misconduct hearing back in January. There seems to be no information on outcome yet - it looks like the last misconduct hearing outcomes posted at present are September 2018. As I understand it, misconduct meetings are for less serious matters.

It appears he cannot be trusted among his colleagues either.

whatever it is,it couldnt happen to a nicer plod.
i see amongst the report it lists
gross misconduct
honesty and integrity
and
discreditable conduct
do keep us posted with the outcome dear boy…

Oh dear, what a shame, still never mind, eh? :stuck_out_tongue:

Good find djw

If Nairn can’t be trusted by his colleagues what chance have the rest of us got :unamused:

  1. Between 16th February 2017 and 20th February 2017 PC Nairn
told an identified police officer that he had interviewed a known
suspect and that, during interview, the suspect admitted being
the driver of a vehicle. In reliance on the information he
provided, the officer drafted an inaccurate MG5 police report
for the CPS. PC Nairn knew that the information provided
to the officer was not true.

  2. On 26 February 2017 PC Nairn provided a witness statement
asserting that he had interviewed a known suspect regarding
driving matters. The witness statement was dishonest
because, although he did interview the suspect he did not ask the
suspect any questions during interview in relation to the
    suspected driving matters.

  3. On 3rd May 2017 PC Nairn used a computer to access
the ANPR back office facility to carry out checks on a
work colleague’s personal vehicle. This search was not
for an appropriate policing purpose and was carried out
in breach of Data Protection Policy.

Yet another copper who thought he was ‘the law’ rather than a law enforcement officer obnoxious man who believed his own bull

If they see the crap is really going hit the fan for him, he’ll more than likely be offered the option of retiring…on full pension. :smiling_imp:

he was never mighty in the first place, however itl be leave of absence, sick leave ( stress/anxiety/depression) then promoted sideways or early retirement where another job awaits.

He could always go back to haulage,I could just see him subbing for the Irish boys, sure would be fun on the night boat

i think we would make sure he got the 1st ticket for the water skiing lessons on the midnight boat.
the tickets for the spectators gallery would be sold out in an instant.

Wonder if he will go back tae John Miller and haul timber again …hehe.

Anyone know how Angus McCoatup got on with this? Apparently the hearing took place yesterday.

It looks like the hearing was rescheduled for 3 June (yesterday).

Yes, I’m just thinking that with him being a fairly high-profile person, someone may have attended the hearing and posted the outcome on Facebook or somesuch. I did post the message “How did Angus get on yesterday?” on CMPG’s Facebook page but I’m not too optimistic about getting a reply. :stuck_out_tongue:
