Rudd's got the bullet - who's next/who replaces her?

Not much clues in the betting market.

I always thought that Boris, with his desire for a “UK FBI” would have been better as Home Secretary in the first instance.

Can’t see him going sideways into this job now though.

The same applies to any aspect of “re-shuffling” to fill the role.

If that is the case, it means promoting someone new from the back benches…

It would be toxic to Rees-Mogg I reckon, and anyone considering taking this job could well see it as being made “Lord Essex” by the Tudors at this point. :open_mouth:

So… Starter for ten:

Who would you like to see become the new Home Secretary, and why (Silly answers welcome - It’s sunday night, and it’s bully’s!)

If I’ve got it right Rudd tried to implement something closer to the tougher immigration policy which May said that the Cons would deliver. Then May decided that there weren’t enough immigrant votes in it for her so chucked Rudd under the bus.May might as well go full ■■■■■■ now and put Ken Clark in the job.Oh wait she’s got him lined up for Brexit minister after Davis walks away. :smiling_imp:

Sid Jarvis will make a great Home Secretary

Common northern bloke who’s dad drove a bus

Let’s see if he can do what Khaaan Karn’t… (another Muslim son of a bus driver)

It would be interesting if he can do the crackdown on the 3000 that previous home secretaries dare not go near, for fear of being accused of “Anti Islamic”.
There might even be some lives saved, because one would expect it to go all quiet on the homeland terror attack front - even if only for a honeymoon period. :bulb:

Remainers in charge of Brexit.Immigrant community interest in charge of immigration. There’s an obvious and deliberate fox in charge of the hen house conflict of interest going on within May’s stinking Conservative administration that preaches delivering Brexit and controlling immigration to get elected and does the total opposite in power.Nothing new there.

FFS The Tories are supposed to be a viable, electable, government that warn us of the dangers of a Hard Left Corbyn Government…

And we have May et al - making this future more and more likely now! :imp:

It’s a shame the History Books couldn’t record “Amber Rudd Resigns on 29th April 2018 - Two days before May” :smiling_imp:

Such as picture the scene when the Socialist rabble inevitably go full ■■■■■■ by trying to seize ( thieve ) property and redistribute it among those who’s ‘needs’ are considered more along the Party line. The irony of democracy again being hijacked by Socialism for lack of a decent alternative. :frowning:

No one is ever going to support a government who can only think of taxing assets rather than massive income.

This seems daft really, as if a political party said categorically that “We’ll double taxes for the top earning 1%” - then the other 99% would potentially vote for that policy - Right?

Trouble is, that top 1% would all become non-doms, and you’d actually collect £0.00 in taxation, whilst already spending the presumably borrowed money in the meantime, soon running into a “Venuzuela” style situation. :unamused:

If Taxation is EVER to be reformed - it needs to be smashed up and re-built properly.

Me personally, - I would stop all the “Exceptions and exemptions”…

Everyone pays say, 15% tax on all income, no matter where it is from. If a third party gives you money for services rendered - then it gets taxed at 15%. Wages, Fees, Revenues.
If you sell an asset at a profit - you pay Capital Gains as before - on everything above and beyond £25k.
If you run a company, then the company can only claim expenses/offsets for those items direcly related to your business: Only someone in the Transport industry can get deductions for travel expenses. Only someone in the fitted kitchen/bathroom etc. industries can claim for a new fitted kitchen at taxpayer’s expense David Cameron please take note!
MPs pay the full 15%, and no expenses allowed under any circumstances. If you can’t afford to live frugally on an MPs seemingly meaty salary - then step aside, and let some other bugger have a go! :imp:
