On a serious note,same ■■■ "couples"can enter into civil partnerships.I believe that marriage should be between 2 people of different sexes.I have no wish to poke my nose or anything else in to what other folks do in the privacy of their own homes.
I personally couldn’t care less - if two people want to make a commitment to each other, whatever the mix of genders, let them do it how they choose. Why should a marriage be limited to a heterosexual relationship?
When I married my wife, we had the choice of a church wedding or a register office. Surely that choice should be available to everybody?

Can any one on here tell me why 2 males or 2 females should become married to one another.As I stated they can enter into a Civil Partnership which means that the survivor can inherit the estater of the deceased partner. The union wont produce children so there is no need to be married.
The question should be, why would anyone get married!

Just for the record I think civil partnerships are fine. If the word marriage is so intrinsically linked to religion then you can keep it, who’d want to be associated with an institution run by power crazed fanatics based on a book of fairy stories?

The Church AFIK are not trying to keep Marriage all to itself.I was married at a registry office same as most members of my family.The Church Congregations are mainly against same ■■■ ceremonies,if a Clergyman does not want to conduct a " wedding" between same ■■■ couples then surely he has rights as well.
