After i had a TIA in 2007 i was told no HGV license for 12 months .Took me 19 months to get mine back but i had depression and other mental problems . It takes more than a few weeks to get over a TIA and it could be a warning of a full blown stroke to come .There is also insurance cover to consider as driving when you shouldnt will invalidate any cover .Yes it is hard to cope with no income to speak of but its a lot harder if you get caught driving when not medically allowed to
