Hello all, new lad here.
I am looking at gaining my C license, something I have wanted to do for a while and I have already sent my license off to the DVLA.
Unfortunately I am also type one diabetic and have been for over six years, I am well controlled and apart from having a knackered pancreas there isn’t anything wrong with me. After my initial medical with my own doctor (who ironically is in much worse health than me!) I’ve been told it does not appear to be anything medically stopping me from getting my provisional C license.
My question is (after my rambling) is has anyone else been in this situation and how long did the DVLA take? they’ve had my license for about a month and I haven’t heard anything from them? is this normal? apart from my usual license updates I’ve had no dealings with the DVLA.
Any help would be appreciated!
